Health refers to the state a person is in which allows them to function normally mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. Health is assumed to be the moment when a person’s immune system is at optimal functioning therefore ensuring that the body is protected from all external factors that are responsible for causing disease and limit the bodies ability to function to its optimal level. Maintaining a good state of health is a great way of ensuring that a person can do his or her activities within diverse environmental conditions, therefore, maximizing productivity and as a result boosting the persons physical, mental and physical well being. A person may face different challenges from the conditions in their environment but there are many activities that will enable them to adapt to this environmental conditions by ensuring that the person’s body can respond to all conditions and prevent any mental, physical, social and spiritual breakdown. The activities that a person chooses to engage in so as to live a healthy life must be aimed at separately improving mental health, social health, physical health and spiritual heath so that the person experiences a complete a state of health. There are many exercises that enhance a person’s health and enable him, or her have proper thinking because his or her mental health will be improved, for example learning to play a new instrument such the guitar in engaging in solving relatively difficult tests that require critical thinking within a given time bracket. A person can also improve his or her spiritual health by engaging in spiritual nourishing activities such as meditation during which the person can focus on calming the mind and also engage in silent prayer that keeps them in touch with their spiritual wellbeing.
Social health is determined by a person to have healthy interaction with friends and family members, and it can be improved by regular communication, sharing personal thoughts, feelings and ideas with people that you trust, this is important because friends and family helps to advise the person and help them to get through difficulties. Activities that help make a person’s physical health better consists of both exercises but that are done by the person on a regular basis and day to day eating habits of the person. Healthy foods that nourish the body are those with high nutrient content that are necessary for a healthy heart and functional immune system and less fat because a lot of fats may cause heart diseases. Every person should be able to be able to keep a regular exercise timetable that they follow strictly by doing activities such as pushups sit-ups and stretching exercises that helps to keep the muscles in shape.
